Ever wondered how you could print that special photo you took with your smartphone? Or maybe you're looking for some guidance on how to print images you've got on your smartphone. Well, I'm discussing here some details about Hewlett Packard's software called iPrint Photo developed to enable you to print from smartphones such as iPhone, Windows Mobile, Nokia and Android. This software tool can also be used for printing from an iPad or iPod Touch.
Having an Apple smartphone, you can get this software-tool via Apps store where you can have it automatically installed.
Another way is via your PC and iTunes. After installation on your pc, you can then connect your phone to your PC and activate Synchronisation (Sync).
Having a Windows Mobile version 6.5 smartphone go to Windows Marketplace for Mobile and have it installed.
With a Nokia phone, you can go to Ovi store and download the free iPrint Photo App.
For an Android smartphone you can activate Android Market and download the app there.
Depending on what smartphone you have, you can print photos that are stored in one of the image formats with the file dot extension.bmp,.png,.jpg and.tiff.
If you want to rotate or resize a photo you can do that by activating the rotate/crop feature while touching the photo in the Print Preview screen of the software.
Then, touch a corner of the photo using 2 fingers. You can then rotate or crop the image. When you're satisfied with the result and want to stop editing, touch the photo once more and then, touch Print. You can also resize your photo in the Print Settings menu which you can find by touching the Printer icon in the Print Preview screen.
A lot of HP printers can work with the mobile print software, from certain phones, to name a few: Business Inkjet 1000 and 1200, Deskjets 5145, 5150 series, 9800 series, and more..., Officejet 6110 series, Photosmart Compact Photo Printers. Printing from other phones, with printers such as Business Inkjet 1000 and 1200, Color Inkjet cp1700 series, Deskjet Mobile Printers 450 series, 6988 series, Officejet 4500 series, H470 Mobile Printer series, various Photosmart printers and way, way more...
If you have several photos and you'd like to print them in one go, then it depends on the smartphone you have if that is possible. Some phones allow simultaneous printing of two or more photos. And with other phones such as Android smartphones, you can print only one photo at a time.
You can print more photos at once if you have a Nokia or Windows Mobile smartphone.
Mind that printing stops when you answer a SMS message or phone call. After you finish messaging or calling, you need to re-initiate the print process. You can avoid that by not responding a message or call at once. Then the printing will not be interrupted.
